WHO WE ARE
Chilkat Watershed is an online resource for stakeholders to:
- Access information about Constantine Metal Resource’s Palmer Project- a hardrock mineral exploration and mining program 17 miles upstream from the Village of Klukwan.
- Learn about and support efforts to protect the natural and cultural resources of the Chilkat Valley.
- Become more informed about the cultural and natural resources of Jilkaat (Chilkat) Kwaan Territory.
This site is maintained by the Chilkat Indian Village (CIV), a Federally Recognized Tribal Government. The CIV is mandated by its Tribal Constitution to protect the cultural and natural resources of the Chilkat Valley.
