Constantine Metal Resources Ltd. completed phase I of exploration in 2018 which includes access roads, a portal pad, settling ponds, and exploratory drilling (Source: Constantine). During this initial phase, Constantine did not operate in the winter.

Constantine is now shifting towards Phase II. According to the Plan of Operations released in April 2019, Phase II will include year-round operations and the construction of an underground tunnel (Source: “Plan of Operations”). Constantine received approval for this Plan of Operations in July of 2019.

Plan of Operations - Phase II Underground Operation 2019

This document describes Phase II of a two phase exploration plan. The second phase described here includes (but is not limited to) constructing an underground ramp (tunnel), constructing two settling ponds, and continuing drilling. The document was prepared for three entities: (1) the Mental Health Trust Land Office, (2) the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR), and (3) the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADNC). A decision has not yet been made.
